LG VX-8100
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER REVIEW at CNET
Pros: EXTREMELY well-built, the best vibrate feature out there, (limited) bluetooth and miniSD compatibility, nice screens, nice stereo speakers, menus well-designed, read txt messages without opening phone
Cons: Camera is terrible, speakerphone is mediocre at best, earpiece volume issues, numerous software bugs, some of which can cause rebooting and freezing...and more!
First of all - if this phone truly met its potential, it would be the undisputed king. Nothing would even come close. Sadly, that's not the case.
Second of all - if you have this phone and have problems like what I've described - CALL OR WRITE TO BOTH VERIZON AND LG. You can do so on the Verizon site...

Other than that "issue", your phone is doing good (earpiece volume, etc)? If so, then you are one of the luckies!
I think (hopefully!!) that these issues should be fixable. I'm not willing to give up the phone for these hopefully fiaxble issues. I haven't seen any other phones that Verizon offers that I'd be willing to settle for...
I too, think this is the best phone Verizon has right now, and I even tried out the e815 for about a week before getting the 8100! I do feel lucky, especially after reading of so many problems people are having, but I'm sure there will be an update available soon and I'm hoping it will fix the problems that people are having. I really love this phone!
Ha Ha - my boyfriend is jealous of my phone b/c he has the 7000! He said he was going to slam my phone into the pavement! He was joking, of course. He said he wishes he could have the 8100, too! (Plus, he's getting all girly on me and said he wanted to have matching phones - isn't that sweet!!!)
For what it's worth, I tried the same test. No problems at all. I hope you get the problem worked out!!!
However, I have noticed today that it wasn't doing it ALL the time. WEIRD!! And one time, I tried to erase the pix message and the phone just cut off and then back on! At least there's hope!! And it's not like the phone is spontaneously combusting, so I think it's able to be dealt with. 🤣
