8100 Ringtones***PLEASE HELP***
I am tired of searching threads about Ringtones because nobody seems to have the answer....DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MAKE MIDI OR WHATEVER MP3 FILES AS RINGTONES ON THE 8100????? VZW put a block where you can only save it as your SOUNDS but cannot set it has a ringtone. I know there is a way..please help!!!

Yo Dawg what you need is a USB Data cable from a vx6100 or vx7000 (Got mine for $3.00 on ebay), QPST (program to connect comp to phone), and just rename your files from .mp3 to .mid . It's the only way and trust me, it works. Peace

This is a bit more complicated than what is being expressed here. I'd head over to Howard Forums; there is an excellent sticky on how to set up mp3's as ringers there. And it works.
