After a frustrating 6 months with a 6100 VZ is allowing me to upgrade to another phone now.
I am afraid if I wait all the 8000's will be gone. I am not really into all the streaming video & phone internet but just want a decient phone with a good reliable speakerphone and camera. I like the idea of the 8100's disc for downloading pics, but wish it could also be used to upload mp3 ringtones.
I will be able to upgrade again in 18 months but in the meantime those of you that have both what would you do?

I don't like the speakerphone on eiterh so if thats important to you get the e815.

the 8000 had better features - more flexibilty to add your own reingtones - better camera

its just too huge to wear on you belt

have had volume problems with both - got better reception on the 8000

as long as auto volume is off - the volume seems to be OK

I never use the speakerphone much so I can't compare the two. I agree the 8000 was just way too big, if it was a little smaller and had bluetooth then I would have stuck with it.

I was able to play mp3 on it by renameing file to *.mid and sending it via pix msging. Don't know how to set it up as a ringtone though ☚ī¸
