The new samsung A970 looks cool. Anyone know if its better than the future potential the 8100 has?

I don't believe anyone can give you anything but a qualified answer since the A970 has not been released yet. I would believe at this point you will only hear guesses - and individuals who like LG better will say the 8100 and those that have used and liked Samsung in the past will say the A970. The truth will be known shortly.

I love my 8100 and I love Samsung. The A970 has a bad ass 2 mega pixel camera. If it works and doesn't have delay, I may pick that one up and switch. But I'm not waiting forever and a day for another phone. I'm still sticking with my sweet fruity disco light crippled 8100. It's hot. 😈
