Re Scala 500
I have used it for almost 6 days now without recharging. Works great. Voice Command is almost perfect, as well as the digit dial. Loud and clear on both ends. What about CW? Does this work? Only drawback, is having to reconnect, if turned off or out of range. Anybody else experiencing this? If not are you using a std or ext battery in 8100? Scala tech said phone probably saving power not searching for it. Wondering if changing battery will help. Somebody using this please let me know. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Hi eveyone! I have been reading posts for weeks, only registered this morning. I recently bought a Scala 500 from eBay. Only had it 2 days but here are my 1st thoughts. It sometimes loses contact with my phone or vice versa, even though the phone is less than 2 feet away. Voice dial sometimes has trouble following my commands even though I "trained" the phone. Slight static at times but not too bad. I think it will work out fine once I find out what it is and isn't capable of.

Sounds like something wrong with unit. Should not lose contact at a distance of 2 feet, unless you shut off Scala or Phone. Maybe 20. Tap the multi function button to re-establish contact. Had a slight problem with Voice Command when I 1st got it. Did voice training and 99.9% accurate. Perfectly clear, both ends. You need to be careful buying on eBay. They sell a lot of USED merchandise. If you can, return it. Don't know what you paid, but I got mine in 2 days (ordered on Sun nite) from J&R Music @$39.99+$6 ship.
