LG VX-8100

Are you in an EVDO region? I'm starting to wonder if a lot of these problems are related to the high-speed network. I've had my 8100 for three weeks (in a non-EVDO area) and have had no problems with volume or battery life. I love this phone!

Now if only they'd enable the damn MP3 player and front controls... But I'm not holding my breath.

I'm in NYC. When I had the 8100, I canceled the VCast service. True, it's still an EVDO area, but other phones are not having a volume problem, are they.

What should we do?

I want to get the 8100 again, but I'm still not convinced that the volume problem is gonna go away.

For me, it was a big problem. I simply could not hear in my car or walking on the street. It was so frustrating and annoying!! But I've reactivated my LG-6000 and it's great... not all the bells and whistles of the 8100, but at least I CAN HEAR !!!
