e815 apparently out selling the vx8100
user reviews for each phone show the following:
e815 131 reviews rating = 3.93
vx8100 86 reviews rating = 3.21
To me that is an indication that not only is the e815 a better performing overall cell phone, but also that the e815 is probably out selling the vx8100. Wat du think? 😲 😳 😎 😛

plus if you actually read some of the bogus reviews on the 8100 it will start making you think how many of the reviews on either phone are actually valid. A ton of the 5 out 5 ones on the moto gave the lg 0 out of 5, and if you check those people have never written one forum message ever in any forum here on phonescoop, and all of them just joined the week the phone came out, so my point is don't buy into the reviews on this site becasue they are unfair, If i wanted to i could make 50 accounts and go bash the moto and praise the lg all i wanted, but that would be extremely childish, but unfortunately their seems to be some children on this forum becasue it is pretty obvious that is what happened. Yes, it's just a forum; however, I would think halfway intelligent responses would have more merit for others reading it. Take this "joachim" - he acts childish - makes stupid remarks - and I doubt if anyone takes him serious. Again, I think it's Ok to be funny - and perhaps even sarcastic to a point (as long as there is some levity); however, I believe these forums are for exchanging information and the more intelligent the writer the more credence he/she will have.

I think this is probably the result of several things. The fact that LG made a few errors in rushing this phone into production, and the fact that Moto made such a huge improvement over the V710.
I think we all have ultra high expectations when a new phone is due out. We expect it to be a huge improvement over it's predecessor. Since LG has produced some awesome phones in the recent past, the huge improvement was just not there with the 8100. While Moto was coming off the terrible V710, making the E815 the huge improvement we were expecting. It was almost as if Moto was actually listening to it's customers this time.
Who's knows, next time Audiovox may slam both LG and Moto. Stranger things have happened.

I agree. I think the E815 is probably a huge improvement over the V710. Its similar to the Motorola v600 that came out for GSM. It was buggy and just didn't work right, but then they came out with the Motorola v505 and V551 which were huge improvements.
On the other hand the Lg vx8100 is basically the vx8000 but more stylish and with bluetooth. It wasn't meant to be a huge improvement. It had a few bugs at first, but i've been using it for a month now and can say its a pretty good phone.

I agree about the 815 and the 710. I think that's why so many are so happy. Coming from a problematic phone to a good phone.
I also agree that the 8100 wasn't supposed to be a big improvement over the 8000 but in their efforts to make it more stylish and add a few features they screwed some things up totally. The battery life went from good to bad and the signal strength got worse. This is based on my use of both phones. If they hadn't messed those two things up I would still have my 8100 and be very happy, mp3 player or no mp3 player.

I disagree, i have the 8100 and gave my wife my 8000, my evdo will not pick up at my house on my 8000 but it does on my 8100, they both work faily well there and the signal strength seems about the same on both and i live in a terrible reception area, most peoples verizon phones will not work where i live. I have also had no problems with battery life, but then again i have also had no volume issues either, maybe i just got a good one?

This is encouraging to hear your side by side comparision to mine. Makes me think maybe I should give another 8100 a try. If the battery life and reception were similar to my 8000 I would love the phone.... mp3 player or not.

What I think is that VZW is advertising the hell out of the E815... Motorola phones are awsome... If it wasn't for a little thing called software problems, they would be a perfect 10... Lost money on the T720, T730 and V710.. Learned my lesson..
