MP3 Front Buttons Working!!!! ...well, almost...

im sure that most of you by now have figured out how to save songs and videos in their respective folders on your memory cards, (like My_Sounds and My_Pix/Flix), in order for your phone to recognize that they are there and be able to play them. And im sure that most of you have seen the error message "Voice Memo Not Available" when you hold down the voice button while your phone is closed.

with that said, think through this with me. what if our phones are programmed to recognize that files are there only if they are in "certain" folders with "certain" names? obviously this is true because if you just save your files to a memory card and dont put them in the correct folder, your phone wont "see" them.

so, what im getting at is this: wh...

I've tried making certain folders awhile ago, to no avail so far. I believe that it is going to be a certain folder that the phone will look at, but without knowing the folder name, or if its not programmed with a folder name at the momement, were screwed.

From what I gather, the thought here is to put the mp3s in the folder that is associated with the "voice menu" button on the side of the phone? Even if we did locate that folder, and load up an MP3 into it, would it even be able to play. I mean, the media player is located in Get It Now, so the voice menu folder wouldn't have a player to use if it's not linked to the media player

Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll be keeping this phone if the Samsung a970 is any good. So I haven't bought the miniSD card because I don't want to potentially waste more money than I already have. However, that means I can't play and experiment with my phone much either. So let me just throw this out there.

Check out the folder in the secret menu under the mp3 player: mmc1/media
What types of files should it hold, because folder 16452/mf holds video clips and voice memos, but there's nothing in this other folder on my phone. Is that possibly where the mp3s are suppose to go? I can't find out since I don't have any way to experiment with it myself, but maybe it will give inspiration to someone else? Let us know. Anything's worth a sh...

i tried creating a mmc1/media folder on my minisd card and out some MP3s in there. No front panel joy, wah.... 👿
