driver for the data usb cable

anyone else have trouble installing the usb data cable with windows xp? i can not get it succesfully installed. i downloaded the proper drivers off of the lg websight. Am i doing something wrong?

stick the usb side of the cable in the cdrom. That should make it work!

LOL why be so mean sheesh -- goto lge.com and download the usb modem drivers for the 8000 phone thats what worked for me someone might have the 8100 drivers im not sure
