just ordered the lg 8100
hey i've been reading over the posts and i had a few questions. my number one question being was buying this phone a mistake. two, is there a ****in mp3 player or not, and if so how can i play music files garunteed. three is there a fix for the volume. let me know i'm supposed to get it tomorrow. thanks - joel

yes it was a mistake to buy. you should wait another six months, let the bugs get worked out. The volume issue is a huge one and many folks are returning it. Hope you luck out. I would wait 🙄

Mp3 player? well, it can play songs, movie's, fine, you just have to be willing spend a little extra to obtain the abbility unless you already have a card and reader or you have data cable, i followed some intructions on here to put songs and ringtones and video files and wallpaper on my phone, and it works great. I can't say anything about volume issue cause i havnt had the problem, only down side to me is the camera isn't that great, but matters not to me. all in all, i'm happy with the phone. but yes! it does have it's quirks, as does any phone, and vzw certainly did a number on crippling some of it's capability, but like i said, there are ways around that which are not very difficult.

I didn't return mine, and I'm very satisfied. The volume on my phone fine, there is a mp3 player but it's crippled, there are ways to get the player working, and they should release an update for the phones to correct the volume issues that others have complained about. This update is just speculation and probably true, but no one here can guarantee that.
