Okay guys here's the deal. As a longtime employee and a long time LG User I felt I needed to set the record straight. Obviously everyone is very disappointed that the mp3 player has been suppressed on the phone, myself included. But those who have stated that this is something that was done by VZW out of corporate greed are very much mistaken. If making money were the only reason that the player is disabled, then why is VZW offering at least two new phones with fully functioning media players???? The new Samsung 970 not only has a working player, but it has the ability to play files from the external flash memory! That's exactly what I was thinking! I have stated on here before that if the case was only to disable so they could make money off the MOD service, then why was it working on the 815? And now seems like it will be on the 970? You have a perfect point!
