COmpress Ringtones
Is there any way to compress the file size of the ringotnes? my ringtones are at 1374KB, when the others are at 173KB.

get a program such as Audacity or others like it and you can reduce the bit rate the sound is recorded at, just need to re-record the sound to a lower bit rate, standard cd quality is usually 128 bit, u can reduce this to half that and sounds will still play nicely without noticable difference, and file size is reduced.

How do you do this with Audacity. I have downloaded Audacity but I could not find an option to lower the bit rate.

Select the part of the song that you want as the ringtone. Go up to File, preferences. Click on the File Formats tab and at the bottom it will have your exported .mp3 bitrate. Change it to whatever you you want, and click okay. Then go up to file and export your selection as a .mp3 That should be it.
