Still working great, no static, excellent voice command. Battery finally died. 3-weeks without recharging. Shame phone doesn't last that long.

As you said - certain phones. I would not BS you guys. Mine works great. I am in NJ. As I stated previously, clear, both ends, voice command 99% perfect and 3 weeks before re-charging. Location is a factor and don't let anyone tell you different. The other day, in a bad cell area, started breaking up slightly. Shut off my Scala and got the SAME results with phone. LG senior tech told this to me and how to test it. He was 100% right. 😛 😛 😛

Mortge - I believe you. I am on my second 8100. I was told by a VZW tech that the BT issues, as well as some reception problems, were phone related and not headset related. After I swapped phones, most of the problems went away, except for the BT problems with the Scala. When my friend hooked up the Scala with his phone - T-mobile something - it worked great. After the software revisions come out I will try the BT headsets again, but am sticking with wired for now.
