I was trying to fix a problem and got stuck in this mode.

I tried:

1.) powering down completely.
2.) taking battery out and back again.
3.) reseting all the settings.

4.)
1. go into the secret menu
2. go to 7 FCC Test
3. select any of it's menus (1 thru 3) it doesn't matter which one because all of them will work, just don't change anything in these menus
4. hit the end key
Your phone will automatically restart itself in regular mode. I know this works because I do it all the time. There are several other ways, but I find this to be the quickest and easiest.

These 4 methods do not work for me!!! any other methods? Thanks!

The only method that works SLIGHTLY is if I go into standalone mode, then make a call (this turns standalone off). But a minute after the call, the fmt mode thing interferes with any future calls unless I do the steps above. Also, no incoming calls are accepted.. Please help!!!!

To get out of FTM mode...

1. Download QPST
2. Start QPST Configuration
3. Under START CLIENTS go to FTM APPLICATION
4. Select the COM PORT that your phone is under
5. Next to COM PORT pull down menu select ONLINE.
6. Click on Mode Control
7. Thank me

The data link cable is a great thing to have but fortunately you don't need that to get out of FTM Mode. You simply need to reset your phone From Main Menu goto Settings & Tools, then System, Security, enter your code of course; select reset default. The only settings you will need to redo will be your wallpaper it reverts back to the original out of the box thingy. All your numbers and everything else will be in tack. Trust me, had to do it myself when I got the phone and began playing w/ the menu.

you can use BT if your computer has it. Only the newer QPST versions have FTM Application included.
