"Night Mode"???

According to the LG website, a feature of the 8100 is "night mode." What is this? I've scanned the menus and cannot find anything about it.
Also, is there anyway to set the phone to vibrate and ring? My Nokia (rip) would do this, but I don't think the 8100 does.
Thanks 🙂 🙂

Im not sure about night mode, but if you go to menu->Settings & Tools->2->2->2->On then your phone will always vibrate when called then all you have to do is also have a ringer set and you are good to go!

I figured that was the fact that the entire phone goes into a "sleep" mode (or night mode) since all displays go dark after a certain period of time and it's essentially running the phone on internal circuitry only. This saves a ton of power not having to run the screen(s). With a couple of calls a day I can typically run the phone for around 4-5 days between charges due to this... and that's w/ never shutting it off.
The thing that sucks battery power is if you start honking on the mobile web for a long time or running VCast movies for an hour or so. That drain is pretty strong and will pull the battery down to 2 bars pretty quickly. Of course, after going back to normal phone mode, you'll typically gain a bar back after the load is ...

There's a night mode on the camera. when you use you camera, click options and it's number 8 on the list. I've used it but i couldn't tell the difference between using "night mode" and not using it while taking pics at night. maybe someone could shed some light on this (no pun intended)

Night mode increases the exposure time on the camera to allow more light in when it's dark.

Yeah, using night mode makes a hell of a difference. It just sucks that it causes frame issues, like the camera isn't refreshing as fast. So if you're using night mode, make sure you allow more time to take the picture and don't move at all or it will be blurry.

Oh, okay. I think I was hoping that "night mode" was a setting for the front-screen light.
Thanks, too, for the directions on the vibrate and ring!

What's your desire for the front screen light? There's a way to pro-long the light on the front of the screen, but it drains the battery faster.
