Question regarding the 8100
I was wondering if this phone supports call waiting, three-way calling, and call forwarding. I have not been able to find anything saying that I does not support it, on the other hand, I have not found anything stating that it does support these features. I have checked the users manual and found that to be of no help. Another thing, in the tools menu under voice commands there is an option for announce alerts. What is this used for, does this have to do with alerts set in calendar?
Any help or ideas would be useful
Thanx

Those features (call waiting, 3-way calling, and call forwarding) are network dependent, not phone dependent. So, since Verizon offers these features, they should be available on the 8100.
You can check the VZW website for help on these, I believe.

Yes, all three of those features are enabled by the carrier, not the phone. You use the send key to switch between calls. I use *72 to forward calls, and *73 to end that feature. You might call 611 to confirm it's the same in your area.
Enable the Announce feature, and wait for your next incoming call. It's pretty cool, if someone in your phonebook calls, the voice announces, "Call from Joe Smith, mobile". Or, if not in your book, it says, "Call from 888-555-1999".

I always thought that the phone had the ability as well. With my last phone the Samsung E715 with T-mobile, I could manually set my call to forward calls to other numbers so if I was in an area that did not have service my other phone would ring. Also, I could make three-way calls. Either you would receive a primary call then you coudl put that call on hold, make another call and join the two. I don't see this is an option on this phone.
