Verizon Techs sending me to LG

I called *611 and when I asked about the update they tried to refer me to LG, stating that they don't deal with the updates. Am I getting $#!+ed on?

You just got someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Just call your local store/s and talk to a tech.

I called again, and this tech talked to my local store. She then said that they were unaware of the problem and that I could exchange my phone for a new one.

yeah I called my local store and they said I could bring it in for a new one. Sigh. What I'm not looking forward to is calling to find out if they got the update or not, when they'll just keep wondering what the hell I'm talking about.

Sorry. There are a few legit people. It seems, every time I talk to a sales or tech person, they're on Mars. Most of the techs don't know what is going on around them. How can you be a tech and not know the difference in talk time between a reg and ext battery? They are supposedly trained. We as consumers, always seem to be blown off, either 'don't know' or BS. They're are exceptions. I apologize if I offended you.

haha, no, I was joking but thanks for the apology. You're right, and I can understand how in many stores sales reps are more interested in getting it sold rather than getting it right. But where I work, (RadioShack, which will soon be saying bye to Verizon,) we have a clientelle that comes to our store more than once every two years, so we want to make sure that they're happy first. It seems when I go to CS as a CONSUMER Verizon's employees are never allowed to say "I don't know"

Hey reps are people to, some are idiots and some are pretty smart it just depends on who you talk to. Some of us consider this a career and get excited about new toys and tech crap but a lot of employees at verizon are just that, employees and could care less about stuff that isn't released yet or right in front of them and just consider this a paycheck. So try not to generalize us, i don't say all customers are complete morons but i do get my fair share of those to. My suggestion is find a small store with an employee that has been there for a while and keep goin to them, when you call in it...

ok well i posted this somewhere else on here but i figured this is a better place 2 post it


yeah so i went tonight to check and see if maybe they would give me any information.. and the guy told me that there is no plan to even put an mp3 player on the phone and that LG said thats the way they wanted it.. and he told me that LG makes the software for the phones and that they just loaded it.. and i made this guy look like an ass cuz i was like so that explains why theres already a video of the mp3 player working and other stores sayin that its gettin ready 2 be released and he was just like you must read the forums and he was like thats not true they must have gotten the first batch of them.. lmao what a bull**** lie... i mean he couldv...
