So what are the main differences between this unofficial release and the old one? I think I have 7.34 official.

That question is too easy. All previous versions were not compatible w/ the VX8100 thats the main differance.

Thanks!! Will this version allow you to do more than just save/move sounds/ringtoones/pix? Can you sync the address book and calendar as well?

address book yes, calendar I am not sure because I never use it, but it seems to function when you select the calendar tab.
