Will the update allow you to make your own ringtones?? That's what Santa Monica store claims.
I went to the Santa Monica CA store at lunch and they said the update will be available in about 2 weeks. The tech and 2 customer service reps knew about the update and said it would allow you to play mp3s of the SD card and allow you to make your own ringtones. I read on other threads about the mp3 player, but I don't know what they mean about the ringtones thing. Maybe they mean you can transfer my sounds to my ringtones or play ringtones off the SD card?

I have the update and I'm not seeing a way to set any of your sounds as ringtones, nor am I seeing a way to set an MP3 as a ringtone, especially the ones on the card. There is a program out there right now that allows you to use .mid's that you have on your card as ringtones. I don't have the link right now but you can find it on this forum or Howardforums.com
