LG Data Cable
I'm sure this has been discussed several times. I'm @ work right now and can't really look through all the posts though.
Where can I purchase a data cable for this phone? I don't see one on Verizon Wireless's website. There is a "replacement" data cable on LG's website, but it specifically states that it does NOT come with the software. I guess, like it says, it "replaces" an original that was lost.
Also, will the cable that's in the Mobile Office Kit (which, again, I do not see available on Verizon Wireless's website) serve the same purpose as the data cable (sorry if that's a stupid question)?
One last thing, I just got the update yesterday and was wondering if the cable is even what I need to download MP3s to my phone... 😕

Go on Ebay and search for a data cable for the 8000. It's the same cable apparently, and there have been dozens of posts by people who have used it.

Oh ok, I see 😳 ...thanks. How about using the miniSD? How does that work for transferring MP3s from the computer to the card - without using BitPim or one of those programs?

You don't need a program or a cable to put the music on your card. Once you have your card reader and place the mini SD in it it will show as a drive/folder on your cpu, you put the MP3 files in the folder labeled MP3 its too easy. You can rip music from a CD or download music from a totally legal file sharing program, ha ha. 😁
