Geez! Yep, I thought so. So--for the hour they had my phone and then the 40 minutes total during which I stood in line, not including the 25-minute each way trip to the store, what did they do? Look at it?

Ok, so I have been getting impatient, calling my 2 local stores EVERY day only to hear either they don't have it yet or know nothing about it. Starting to wonder if there even is an update, I called CS and talked to some idiot who checked infomanager, told me V01 is the only one they have, no update and that if I read on here or anywhere else that those who claim to have an update hacked it in some way or got an illegal update and said the phone is too new to have an upgrade and not to expect one for at least 6 months or more if that. Getting even more frustrated, I asked for LG's phone number. Hey, Mary,
This is what has me so frustrated!!! My Verizon store said they got the new update in 2 days ago--come on over. Even the check-in guy at the store who was dangling the LG 8100 from his belt loop told me that this new update would do everything everyone has said--Mp3 player and all. But I think the tech people did not "flash" my phone!!!!
Now no one answers the phone there. WOnder if they are in on Sat? I start back to school next week and will have no time to run back and forth!!!!

MARY...what kills me about stories like these. Tell these people that work at the stores that u have the phone numbers of 20 stores across the country that have the update and have installed it 20 or so times already. All the workers at the stores that I went to had it on there hip. Well at least 4 did in each store. I have seen many posts with addresses and phone numbers on here. I cant vouch for the validity of the rest but mine are VALID. 585 453 9950 and 585 242 8866. I have PERSONALLY had the uppdate installed at both stores.

No problem. If I were you I would get a credit on my account for the inconvenience. That mistake is absolute BS!!!

I would definitely get some type of credit. Ask to speak to the store manager and tell them who helped you so you can be sure to get them in trouble while you're at it.
