Phone Updated...MP3 player not working (Help!!)

I have gotten my phone update done twice so far and I am still having the same problem.

My MP3 player still does not play the songs I have saved on the memory card. I have reformatted the card a couple times as well and that has no effect.

Basically when I am in the player it looks as if all my songs have no times with them. I don't think its the card because when I put it in the reader it says all the songs are good files and I can play them so I am thinking its the phone but like I said earlier, I have had the updated installed twice (first time was the initial upgrade and second time was a reload) and still the issue exists.

I am thinking maybe I should try another store and see if it happens again.

Anyone got any advice for m...

How long are your .mp3 filenames? I heard they had to be short.

I shortened the names to one word and still nothing.

Weird thing is that my phone is charging and when I open the player with the phone closed...the charging bar stops moving. Makes it look like the phone froze even.

May have a bad flash, it has happened. I would get it reflashed with v04. If that doesnt fix it, then make them give you a new phone! 🙂

It probably is a bad flash but its happened twice!!

I will try it again but probably try a different store. OK I will try it one more time at the store near me then I am going to a nearby store if this does not work.

Try this: Menu->0->000000->11->Enable

Just make sure that the MP3 player is enabled.

It might be how you are adding your files to the card.
The first Mp3 I tried showed up on the card in my reader but not on the phone. I figured out this was because I copied the song to the card. Then when I tried dragging one to the card, bingo!
I have no idea what is the difference, but it worked for me. You might try it, too 🙂
Good luck, Mike 🙂

I tried dragging some songs to the card and still no luck.

Like I said before it looks as though my phone is frozen when I try and play a song.

If anyone could do me a favor and try the mp3 player while the phone is charging and tell me if the charging bar still moves like the phone is charging when the player is in use.

Check your software version, the first flash didn't take to my phone because the tech had to reboot the stores software.
