I know there has been many postings about getting Bitpim to work, but none of the suggestions have helped me get Bitpim to recognize my 8100. I have a USB cable for the 7000 (from eforcity on ebay) and I have tried the drivers from LG. The phone is recognized using QSPT, but when I try Bitpim, the phone isn't recognized. Did you load the drivers from the VX7000 or the VX8100?
You should be using PC Connection setting on the phone.
Try starting out w/ the lowest data rate at first.
You do not need to set the data rate under the device manager it will adjust itself upon connection.
Lastly, use the Bitpim troubleshooter its under the Help/Support sections of the menu.
