I Need Help & Info....Please
I just got the 815. I don't like the way it looks and I don't think it is as user friendly as my previous Lg6000. I am thinking about taking it back and getting the 8100, but I read that there are alot of problems with this phone. All I need is good reception, battery, and a speakerphone. Would you recommand me trading out for a 8100, if so why? Thank you in advance. 🙂

The issue you are going to have is that the moto is tri mode and the lg is all dig.I use the lg myself and never run into any problems with signal strength around where I live but the tri modes are going to pick up a better signal

I don't think that is correct. I believe the 815 is also All Digital. I think the 710 was Tri Mode. At least that is what the sales person told me.
I prefer the 8100. It seems to be a much better built phone. Some have complained about volume issues, but I have never had that problem. Reception is great! Battery life is pretty good. I have found that if you use the Mini SD Card it will use the battery more quickly. Still it is not a problem if you charge daily.

Is it more user friendly (menu's, looks). I guess I'm just comparing it to my LG6000. Oh and does the speakers, the way it's design, bother you went you are talking with the flip open? Also, can you use the speakerphone with the flip closed, pick up calls, etc.?
Thank you so much.

The menu's are real easy to navigate. To me the speakers are great. I realize they appear big, but you don't really notice them being in the way. And they sound great. You must have the flip open to use the speaker phone.
There is a software update out (not in all areas yet for activity the mp3 player - front buttons)
Hope that helps.

If you read the e815 forum that phone has also had significant problems. I personally havent had the e815 so I can only go by what I have read.
