I didn't know you could get them from VCast! I've only downloaded comedy clips!

You do not need vcast for mp3's.You do however need the software update for the mp3 function to work.call your local store and ask them if they got the new software.T81VZV04 is the name.

good luck

By the way, you can put songs on your phone w/out VCAST and even if the update is not availabe in your area yet, just can't use the front buttons for it or shut your phone while listening. Read through the threads, do a search, it's been on here 3 million times.

U can get Mp3's several ways

1) You can get the software update at your VZW store. This lets you take Mp3's from your pc and drag and drop them to your "my mp3s" folder on your card and play them on the built in mp3 player on the phone.

2)You can search the previous threads for info on using Bitpim and QPST to circumvent VZW's roadblocks to enable certain features on the phone. Including MP3 ability

The problem he will have with using Bitpim is you cannot touch the phone while playing mp3's or the song will stop.Sucks if you need to adjust the volume

Like it was stated above, you Don't.

If you have a mini SD card rename .MP3's to .QCP and put them in the sounds folder on your card. You then access them through Sounds on your phone.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I didn't think I could get them from VCast - I was just wondering if maybe I missed something.

I have the memory card, but I don't rename the file. It stays as MP3 and works on my phone. I never used any of those other programs (BitPim). I started putting MP3s on the phone after the update.

Thanks!
