I currently have the LG VX 8000, and the front screen has broken. I have insurance through verizon wireless, and I was wondering how that works. If you have any info on that, you help is greatly appreciated!

Usually you just have to call Verizon and then pay a deductible and they will send you a new/refurbished phone. I'm not sure if the deductible is still $50, but it was when I filed a claim years ago.

Is the window broken or the actually display. If it is just the window i would call lg and order one, they are about ten bucks and not to tricky, if it is the display then you might as well use your insurance. Just remember the insurance is through asurian not verizon and they will charge you a 50dollar deductable and most likely send you a refurb so check it good when you get it and you have to send them your phone unless you tell them you lost it.

Verizon also uses LOCKLINE insurance, so it could be that or Asurian. Yes, it is a $50 deductible and you have to call the insurance co. yourself. You can call Verizon to get the number to the one you have. You do have to send your old one back or you WILL be charged. It clearly states in the insurance forms that if your phone is LOST or stolen, you MUST have a police report or they won't replace it, so you can't simply say you lost it to avoid sending it back.
