Does anyone have the update...
I just bought a e815 because its a functional phone right out of the box...now that the update is out i might want tgo switch because, i like how the 8100 sounds looks and feels.So, This is the tie-breaker...does the update work well, does it make the phone fully functional. thank you for your help!

If you read through the threads you will see all the info on this topic, but yes the update works very well. Fixed known problems and MP3 player is now fully functional with equalizer and all!

I liked this phone ever since I first got it. I got the update on Saturday and I'm loving it even more. I have had to exchange it a few times, but I found out it was a reception issue in my area, not a hardware issue. I tried the 815 for a couple of days before I got the 8100, and I've since contemplated getting it again when I was having the service issues. I played around w/the 815 at the store a few times and also with my friend's 815, but I still love my 8100 so much more. Not only is it the front screen, but the speakerphone is much better on the 8100 (its on the back of the phone on the 815, right where you hold it--not the best place) and the picture id is much better.
