Hello there......Didn't you post your reason for switching from the E815 to the 8100?

I'm still trying to decide bewteen the two phones. Seems like you posted some good information on what influenced your switch.

Yes. It was several things. The 815 worked well as a phone, clear sounding, good battery, nice large interior screen, but I didn't like the cheap feel of it, the creaky hinge, the long antenna (even when retracted, it sticks up so far), the outside screen pic is horrible, barely visible. The gunmetal silver color was ok, but a little boring. Many, many things.

The 8100 just feels so solid, nice menus, very clear outside screen, great working MP3 player (with the update), great reception, much better battery after the update, looks of it are up-to-date and pretty cool. I could also go on and on about this one too, but in the end there were just too many things I didn't like about the 815 and almost nothing I didn't like about the 81...
