quick question...
i have a 128 mb mini sd, and was wondering how many mp3's can it hold? Does the update compress the size of the mp3s before transferring them to your disk or....??

anybody have an estimate of how many songs i can hold on an 128 mb card?

It depends on the bitrate at which thry are encoded. I found this info online it should help a bit.

MP3 160 kbps 9:1 1.5 MB
Very low compression, superior sound quality

MP3 128 kbps 11:1 1 MB
The standard "CD quality" bit rate

MP3 96 kbps 15:1 700K
Considered "near CD quality"

MP3 64 kbps 22:1 400K About the same quality as an FM radio station

Anything below 128 kbps is going to put the hurt on your audio quality, but you might want to experiment and see how low your file sizes can go. For instance, you'll be surprised at how well "voice only" audio can sound at the lower bit rates.

Some other things to consider is whether to use Constant bit rate or Variable bit rate, but that's a whole topic within itself.

I saved my songs @ 64 and the files sizes were still 1.5 - 2.5 M.
