Yes, The mini is about two-thirds the size of the regular card.

Hello,

I don't want to assume the worst or reiterate what is already known, but it sounds like "SD" and "Sandisk" are causing some confusion on a fundamental level.

"SD" stands for Secure Digital, which just describes the type of flash memory card (versus CompactFlash, xD, etc.) You can check out www.sdcard.org for more information about this type of memory.

Sandisk is one of the major flash memory manufacturers, whose initials just happen to be SD. Confuse me? 🙂

Anywho, for the VX8100 you MUST buy a Mini SD card, as it's the only card that will fit. Mini SD cards are usually sold with a full-sized SD adapter, since most SD card readers are not equipped to read Mini SD cards.

Hope this helps!
