VoiceMail Question
How do you make it so that when someone reaches your voicemail it doesn't say "If you'd like to leave a message please press 1 or wait for the tone..."
I'd like it to just play my recorded message, and beep right away so the caller can immediately leave theirs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you go into your voicemail, after entering your password, it will say, press one to listen to your messages, press 2 to send a message.....then it will say to change your personal options press 4, that is what you want! Press that then you can make your own message.

i've recorded my own message and the caller hears that, but instead of beeping right afterwards it still says "if you'd like to leave a message..."

I dont think you can.
I asked the same question to a verizon customer service rep, and they said you cant bypass it. I hate it too.
Nextel doesnt have it. but Verizon does.
These reps only know what they are talking about half the time. so I wouldnt give up.

I've been messing around in my voicemail for the past few minutes....I can't find a way to do what you're asking.
I really never thought about that function before, but it would be kinda nice if you could turn it off or customize it.
