Headsets for MP3 player

Brendan

Can anyone recommend a good headset to use for the MP3 player?? I imagine that the bluetooth headsets like the Cardo Scala 500 are not that great if they are only for one ear but then again I have never used BT yet so I have no clue. Thanks.

Just get the stereo headset that goes with the essential package that VZW sells. That one will work fine.

I wouldn't advise going with BT headsets for the MP3 player as they make it sound like you are simply listening to the radio. The sound quality is not very good.

You can't listen to mp3's through any BT headset (unless it is specifically a STEREO bluetooth headset, which regular ones are NOT).

I was just wondering if there was something that was sold seperately because I have all the other stuff already and just need some decent headphones.

I bought an adapter at Radio Shack to plug my cd player headphones into the 2.5mm jack on my 8100 to listen to mp3's... but the sound only comes out of the right headphone like it would on a headset. Is there a difference when if I would buy the stereo headphones or would it work the same way? Thanks.

Without knowing exactly what adapter you purchased, I'd wager it's only a mono (single channel) adapter.

I bought the same adaptor from RadioShack and made sure it was stereo.

My guess is that the normal 2.5mm headphone converters do not have the same pinout of the headphones specifically made for these phones -- aka they are set up to have a microphone in addition to the stereo connector.

I have nice noise-canceling headphones I would prefer to use but need the converter...

I see there are PDA type connectors that do this, but not sure which one is right?

Help?
