I can read someone's bill and tell exactly what they are doing. If you have TONS of data use, no VPack or mobile web, and no GIN purchases, you're busted. Even if you had the VPack, your bill lists the clips you watched, and if that data amount isn't near what you used, busted again. Maybe you just use alot of mobile web? There isn't THAT much content and the phone certainly doens't load it that fast, busted again. 3 strikes and you're out.

It's $60 now, but that plan isn't for a cell phone, it's only supposed to be for the data cards or possibly the XV6600. The XV6600 is authorized by Verizon to do BT EVDO DUN and it's the only one. The v710 is authorized to do BT DUN on the 1X network only, but you have to have a national access plan.

so the only way they can tell is by data use? if you don't use a lot then it could be confused with phone's web not PDA getting email content through the phone? right?

I spoke to them and they said that they would terminate my contract if I use DUN, but they can't tell the difference right? as long as I keep the data use low it should be fine....

Well 3 webpages would use more data than an entire session of mobile web. I guess if it were used for email only through a POP3 account with no attachments, it might go under the radar.

I don't know if you get a final warning, but your account can be canned with the ETF

The whole thing is just plain BS to me. It's essentially just a different interface for access to the same data I could get at with the phone itself. I for one don't exclusively use the content provided on the Mobile Web screens from VZW. I have a bunch of Favorites stored for lots of stuff... email, traffic reports, weather stuff, stock stuff, etc... none of which is on the Mobile Web favorites provided. So I'd ask (again) why would plugging in my laptop be any different? It's just a bigger screen version of the same data.

I think the only big diff I can see if the ability to yank down big attachments I guess at near DSL speeds 🙂

Still, this is a featureset that's highly sought after out there and why should we need yet another ...

Dont forget about our friend EDR, shows when you go into GIN,and how long your in it, yah, you can spend hours looking through all the content in get it now, but if you dont download something or dont even show activity for Get it now, its service manipulation and if caught have possibilty of having your phone disconnected and stuck with ETF... no worth it, if you wanna pay for it, just buy an aircard, they are cheap anyway..

Didn't employee pricing for Broadband Access just go down recently? I wonder how much it would be to get one of those cards and an adapter for my computer.... Would it be worth it?

I would be happy with just using quick to net 14.4 if I could. It finds my phone says it dialing after it connects it says username and/or password are incorrect.

How do I get around this??? Please anyone!!!
