Are there updates for this phone in Southern Cali yet?
does the update fix dropped calls and low volume? I am really getting sick and tired of this..........if this phone is messed up can I get a refund and get a different phone?

The update is everywhere now. Get it and see if it helps your issues. If the phone is bad and it's past your 15 days, you only get to exchange for a refurbished phone of the same model under your manufacturer's warranty. You will NOT get a refund, nor can you choose a different phone.
