There could possibly be something wrong with the other files you are trying to put on the card. Maybe they say they are mp3 files, but aren't really. Try running all your files through an mp3 converter - you can download one free. Also, you have to make sure the titles are no more than 47 characters long, including the ".mp3". Search past posts for this one, I can't remember if it's 47 or 43 characters.

There are a ton of programs that let you change the bitrate of mp3's. Personally, I use MusicMatch Jukebox to convert VBR (variable bit rate) mp3's to 128k (constant bit rate) mp3's and .Wav's to mp3's, the program will also let you rip (create mp3's) from a CD. Good Luck. 😎

Thanks for the tip about Musicmatch. I have had it on my computer for the radio portion of the program and hadn't really explored the other options. I've found a new use for the program and hope to use it more in the future. Once again, the people of Phone Scoop come through with a winner of a tip!

I'm really new at this myself. At the advice of someone else on here, I just googled for mp3 converters. I ended up downloading a free one called CDex. It took me about 30-45 minutes to figure it out and get up and running.

I popped a few cd's in my computer, ripped them to mp3's and then drug those files to my miniSD card "my_mp3" folder.
