BITPIM/CONNECTING W/ PC USING BLUETOOTH
Ok, so I have never tried Bitpim before, don't have a cable, but have read on Hofo and here that you can connect via bluetooth. Have tried playing around with this a little. I know computers, but by no means am an expert. According to Hofo:

You can go to My bluetooth places on your PC through Internet explorer. What do I search under, how do I find this? Basically, how do I connect my phone to pc this way? Am I missing something? I've tried, but can't figure it out. I thought I may join the club and actually try Bitpim, but so far can't even figure this part out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used the software that came with my bluetooth connecter. I had to enter in a passcode on both the pc and the phone.

I was pleasantly surprised, the software that cme with the bluetooth connector was fairly intuitive. Once connected it works beautifully.

Well, the only thing in there is how to pair the headset to the phone, which I already have. How do you get a bt connection w/ your phone and pc?

Do you have an option to scan for new devices on your pc? On your phone go to Menu, then BT , then press option 3 My Visibility, then Show to All, and have your pc scan for new devices.

That's where I am stuck. Where do I go on my pc to have it scan for new devices?

Well, my friend's husband who tried to help me out determined that my Bluetooth USB adapter was not working, so looks like I'm going to have to buy another before I try this. Was going to go to Best Buy tonight and buy one, but there arond $50. I can get one a lot cheaper on ebay, but not sure what I'm going to do yet as I HATE to wait on stuff. I want to try this now! I am so impatient. Anyway, hopefully I'll have something working in the next day or so.

If I choose to just get a cable instead of another BT USB adapter, is the one on Verizon's website for the 6100 mobile office kit the cable I need?
