Wireless Charging???
My friend and I were messing around with the service menu about 4 days ago. After some option we changed, this came up on my 8100 (NOTE THE REMOVAL OF THE VZW "ERI" BANNER! 😈 ! 😁 ! 😁 ! 😁 ! 👿 )...

The little icon over the word "Active" moves. It starts out as just the little stick, then the dots, then the circle, then the other dots.My friend took the picture the other night with his 8000. How is this possible? I haven't plugged my phone in since and I use it a fair amount. The battery is still full so it seems to be doing something...

I used it A LOT on Saturday afternoon/evening between mp3's and some videos I loaded and the first battery dot/whatever was gone, but after about 3 hours it was back!?!?!?
I've taken the battery out, did *228, turned it off/on about 20 times, and it's still there.

Just before this started happening I was in the MENU + 0 + 000000 part. I don't know which one after that.
I remember clicking something, then my phone turning off for a second, and thinking "OH SH!+, I BROKE MY BRAND NEW PHONE!!" and then this came on. The thinking I just broke my brand new, very first, and very expensive cell phone I guess distracted me from remembering what menu I was just in.

Although I did read somewhere recently that there is a solar powered charger that is being tested in Europe but that requires a plugged in solar panel.

I just got the phone from Verizon in the mail about 2 weeks ago. It's all very new to me as are cell phones as a whole. This is the first one I've ever owned... I know, way to join the 21st century.
Messing with the menu was my friend Andy's idea, he's a lot better with technology and he was the one that told me about this forum.

Not possible. That is just a personal banner. Note the lack of a space between the Wireless and Charging - that is due to the number of character limitation for the banner. Also, you can turn off the ERI Banner in display settings. I just setup my phone the same way Hat's off to you on a good prank though SuperMario 😛

OMFG! Who in their right mind doesn't realize that the "WirelessCharging" is just the banner?! The only thing that makes this prank somewhat believable is the icon at the top of the picture, but that could be faked as well either by placing a sticker on the screen or just photoshopping it. I can't believe people actually buy into this stuff.

I didn't write the Wireless Charging part. Why would I want to cover up that wallpaper I had to pay $1.99 for? I actually want that part off my screen anyway! The icon I don't mind so much.

What ever "Wireless Charging" means it is not what you think. Modern science has still not figured out a way to send electrical energy wirelessly from device to device. So it must be some kinda prank or weird feature.

All he told me was that it's for computers mostly and doesn't go very far. I work around a lot of computers with wireless stuff, could that be it?
Or maybe the EV network? The EV has been on the whole time.

I think that I can speak for the rest of us on the forum when I say enough already! Give it up 👿 ! It was funny while it lasted (I am still suprised anyone bought into it) but enough is enough. Fess up to the prank... I'd be proud to get one like that over on these guys.
