Mary, I'm curious about what you find to be the major differences between the H500 and the HS820. What makes the 500 the better headset?
I use the 820 and it is not the greatest, but it suits my needs. Thanks

The H500 is a little smaller, the fit is a little better (little bit different design on the back). As far as clarity, I do notice the H500 to be a little better, more improved sound. I have had no static at all, and only sometimes does the caller hear an echo. I know looks are not so important, but I like the looks of the H500 better too. Here is some more detailed info on it:

I haven't seen or found any available at stores, at least in my area. I purchased mine for about $54 w/ shipping on ebay from a very reputable seller. He actually has a cellular accessories business. You can find his headset listings (H500 and others) here:

Mary have you ever used the HS850, people say they hear an echo when I am using the headset.

Yes. I have tried that one also. I think it is common with all bluetooth headsets, no matter what brand, price range, what phone there used with, etc. to have an echo on the caller's end at some point and time. Overall, though, the HS850 is a pretty nice headset.

Ya I do like it very much, especially the fact you can answer the phone by just opening the headset, I think most of the problem is when I'm in the car I guess with the small space it makes the echo.

i cant understand how you guys like that big bulky thing hanging right on the outside of your ear just where it can get knocked off and be way more floppy personally i cant stand them.i have a jabra 250 and it fits neatly behind the ear staying well out of the way
and the ear piece fits right into the ear also
making it easy to hear even in noisy situations
not sure what all the hype is but those motos
look like a tummor or maybe a wort.

I think the Jabra 250 is a very nice headset, but if your talking bulky, it is more bulky than the Motorolas, even though it goes around the ear instead of on top of it. The Motorola's look like a tumor? I'd say the Jabra looks like your from Star Trek or something. They both work fairly well, though, so that is all that really matters. To each his/her own, I guess. With any BT headset, your going to "notice" it and people will at times think your talking to yourself, but that all goes with the territory.
