Depressing

It's so depressing. I LOVE PhoneScoop and have gotten sooooooooooooo addicted and I love my 8100 and enjoyed seeing all the traffic on here constantly with new things to say about it, do with it, etc. I have learned soooooooooooooooooooooooo much from here. It sucks that now it seems everyone knows what they need to know, etc. and don't get on here and discuss anything anymore. I know, I know, someone is going to say "get a life", but believe me, I have one, a VERY busy and stressful one, and this is the one place I can escape and talk about something I'm interested in. Oh well, guess it couldn't last forever.

(In iMary,
I just ordered a data cable because I think I am ready to try to do my own ringtones. Don't fret--I'll be on here pleading for help when it comes in 😁
(In other words, your help is MUCH appreciated!)

Prof - Did you order your cable off Ebay? I was looking the other day, and it seems like all the cables I saw were bundled with something else that I don't need. Who did you order yours from?

PS. You know, with you having the name "Prof", I really feel like I should have phrased that as, "From whom did you order your cable?" 🙂

InsuranceMan,
Yes, I ordered the eBay one--comes with a car charger, which my husband can use. Hey, if it doesn't work, I'm out only $11.00 (includes shipping.)

ROTFL!!! Yes, you guessed it--I am prof. of English. And, yes, for whom is perfect 😁 😎

Hi Mary.....
You are very right. Most everything has been discussed at least once. Personally, I am about where I want to be as far as this phone is concerned. The MP3 is working, I have a few good ringtones from GIN and the Bluetooth headset is working and I'm happy. Had thought about going bitpim but decided against it. I usually just get myself in trouble on things like this. I read where bitpim is working for you and that is great. Happy phoning. 🙂 🙂

Well, if it's any help, I don't have a data cable yet, so haven't done anything with ringtones. I want to do that soon, so I'm going to need some help. Especially since I'm going to be too lazy to go back through the posts to find the "how to's". Stick around Mary - I'll be sure to hit you up for some help.

BTW, that Jabra definitely works better than when I first tried one - different phone, and pre-software update.

It's not over yet... new phones are coming out every week!!! There'll always be things to explore on here. Even if the forum isn't about your particular phone, you do get some insight into generic phone problems.

And since Verizon's interface is similar on all the new phones, many of the solutions on new phones will be exactly as on older phones.

Stick around, Mary!!! You're a real asset around here!!!

😁 😁 😁

No worries Mary...I like to check out this forum too even though I am also a very busy person. Believe me I have a life too. But this forum is fun to check out just to see what new things people have discovered about the phone. I think it's a good thing that we're seeing less posts about problems because that means most people are now able to enjoy their fully functional 8100 since most of the bugs have now been worked out with the software update. Don't worry, you will still see posts from the newbies that haven't yet played around the with the phone enough to figure out all the features--and you can always help save the day 🙂

On another note, I think you posted something before about improved battery life after the update. I us...
