What does PCMCIA mean?
Do i need a USB 2.0 card reader? what does the PCMCIA mean for card readers, and where is the best/ cheapest to buy from, and what should i look for? is it compact flash compatible i'm looking for? Thanks.

PCMCIA - Short for Personal Computer Memory Card International Association, It's basically the industry "standard" for most small memory cards 🤭 I would definately Recommend USB 2, ... you will find yourself doing a lot less waiting for files to write to your memory card (provided that your computer is USB 2 capable).
