Volume Issue Never Went Away - an update?
Does ANYONE know if there is an update in the works for fixing the fluctuating volume issue? I have Version 04 already.
I've contacted both LG and Verizon and you'd never guess that I got the run-around. Two of the LG people I spoke with, and all of the Verizon people I spoke with, said they haven't heard of the issue. ONE LG guy said he'd gotten a couple complaints. LG told me that Verizon tells them what they (LG) need to include on software updates.
I called my local Verizon store and the girl said I could bring it in and if there was something wrong, they'd replace the phone - only catch is that it'd be a refurbished phone - Um, NO WAY! Then I asked her at what point do they contact the manufacturer about fixing the problem....

I don't want to discount anyone who may have a real problem, but I and others have mentioned before that placement of the phone on the ear greatly affects volume. Don't worry, I won't bash you - no need to - you weren't rude, belittling, or mean about it. After all, you can only state your experience.
I have tried moving the phone around. See, what happens is the person will be loud and clear one minute and then, all of a sudden, they are so quiet, I can barely hear them, and then it will go back to being loud and clear. Strange, I know, but nothing seems to help. I've even made sure that the "Auto Volume" option is "off".
I don't know what else to do. I'm not going to have my phone replaced just to end up with a refurbished phone that may do the same thing!
By the way Mary, did the insurance company replace yours with a refurb or a brand new?
Thanks!

It was brand new. I have Lockline and they said they will frist try to replace with a brand new one, but if they don't have one it will be a refurb.
