My contract has expired and I'm looking for a good phone with good reception. Which is a better choice LG-8100 or the Motorola V323?

Hope that is some help...personally I think its a no brainer. Maybe I am biased because I love my 8100.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. I've seen & heard and the LG-8100 is awesome. I'm leaning that way but have heard that the reception with the V323 is better. Thx 🙂

Agreed. I would never choose a Moto over an LG if I had the choice of any phone. Now, if I HAD to choose only between an LG3200 or an 815, then yeah, I'd take the 815.

But since you've got the option to pick an 8100 or a 323, you'd be doing yourself a great disservice to not choose the 8100. The reception is flawless, IMO...

Flawless reception is exactly what I'm looking for. I currently own the 6100 and love it but where I live it seems to drop calls. Its probably due to the surroundings. Does it make a big difference if the phone is tri-mode or not? I've heard alot of different opinions on this.

I think the tri-mode vs. all digital can make a difference depending on where you are. I have the 8100 and love it. I had a Moto V60 before and never had problems with reception either. However the Moto was a tri-mode and the 8100 is all digital. I did have some problems with dropped calls with my 8100 in my area about a month ago, but I called customer service and they did a service call in the area. They must have fixed something with their digital system because since then it's been fantastic.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your input. I guess the only way to tell is to try it. I think I'm going to borrow one from a friend and test it. If that doesn't work... I will just have to move. LOL 🙂 Thanks again!!

That's probably the best idea, to try and test out the phone without buying one yourself. I was going to suggest that too. Back when I had the problems withe the 8100, I was considering borrowing my brother's Moto E815 to see how it worked in my area too - although I don't know if it would have made a difference since the 815 is all digital too. But by the time I had a chance to do that the problem was fixed.

Good luck!

My wife had the 6100 and kept dropping calls at my house and my 8000 always worked fine, never fropped calls eventhough it is all digital. So i upgraded and got the 8100(absolutely love it) and gave my wife the 8000 and ebay'd the 6100. I used to think it would be good for one of us to have a tri mode but my 8000-8100-6000(all of which are all digital) work better at my house than the tri mode 6100 and various motos. just my opinion but tri mode is overated and analog blows anyway. my digital phones just seem to hold a more steady signal up where i live.

Riddle me this... While we're on the subject. The wifey is using that LG4500 and her signal is the suck. My 8100 works without a hitch right next to hers. It seems like her LG3300 does a lot better though.

Maybe the 4500 just blows rod, but I can definitely tell a difference. Although, my 8100 is exceptional throughout. Any thoughts, J-Dog? 😲
