Can you organize music?

Does anyone know of a way to organize music, similar to iTunes or any other music software, on the 8100? I use the mP3 player all the time, works great, however it would be nice to play a playlist, or choose an artist etc, rather than have the same set list, or even shuffle.

You can't do playlists. You can shuffle if hitting the right soft key to toggle the repeat, repeat all, & shuffle modes. It would have been awesome if it had playlists.

Yeah, I use the shuffle, looking for a little more control over the music. I tried setting up a folder inside the MY_MP3 folder, with a playlist inside, however the phone did not see the folder. Maybe that will come in a future update.

Yes, I tried the folder trick too, but no dice. If they add a playlist on an update, then WOW, this phone would be an mp3/iPod killer!

Same with mine. I just thought that's what was supposed to happen. Never had it on any other setting than shuffle. I'll have to give it a try on RPT.

The MP3 player on this phone blows.

There is no bass at all. You will never hear a bass guitar when using the external speakers and you can only barely hear them with the headphones.

I just played “In the meantime” by the Space Hogs, a song based around a bass. You can’t hear the bass at all on the external speakers. I put on the headphones and could barely hear the bass guitar.

This MP3 player is all treble, no bass. The sound of the high hat and symbol on a drum drowns out all bass levels as well.

LG needs to address this and the playlist options.

I agree on the playlist and artist options. Seems like that would be simple thing to add next update. I don't hear much bass either on the speakers, however I really didn't expect much. I do hear bass however on headphones, and actually the sound is pretty close to my iPod. I have noticed that the sound varies A LOT depending on the Equalizer setting, and that the Rock setting puts out great quality music, bass and all.

I listen to mostly RnB and Rap...the BASS MONSTERS of the music world and hear it loud and clear with the Jabra $29.99 headphones from VZW. Try those.

I have the same headphones, and I can attest to the fact that they work great.

are you sure it is not your mp3 file, i have had crappy song copies before. I burn a lot of cd's since my car has a system sometimes i can get a crappy song file where the bass is way to high or way to low.

you should look at this program that a guy created.

Its posted in the Howard Forums. It allows you to use existing, or create new playlists and then send them to your miniSD card. Works great!
