Pairing with Tungsten T5 - where do I find the passcode?!?

Hey all, I'm lost.

Love my VX-8100 - have wasted *way* too much time playing with all of the stuff that it does, and I'm sure my Verizon bill will reflect it. But, I did want this phone, and I'm determined to get the most from it.

I got the sw update so it does tunes - waiting for miniSD from NewEgg. Got the Jabra stereo headset. And man is this phone LOUD!

Paired with my Mac for bluetooth, though from reading the posts that I'm probably trying to connect to the wrong port for bitpim. I'll get to that, I just need to be patient and read.

Here's my thing - I would *love* to pair my phone with my Palm Tungsten T5, though I'm not particularly happy with Palm for it's 'GSM-Only' approach to wireless phones. Needless to say, if I try...

Not sure, but try the last four of the phone number.

Actually, I had somebody explain it to me.

Apparently, the passcode, at least in this case, is, for lack of a better term, 'incident specific' - so somebody else can't just go seeking and randomly pair with your devices - which would be bad.

So, after a nice guy who's a big BT afficionado suggested I just use '0000' on BOTH devices while pairing, and doing so, voila! Both devices seem to like each other, though I haven't delved into more with DUN on my handheld. Gotta go read up.

But it paired!!! Yay!

Now, on to bitpim...
