Help with Bitpim
i have installed bitpim on my computer and have bought the usb adaptor. i then edited my first mp3 file and coverted the mp3 into a short clip that just had the chorus of the song i wanted. i went under my ringtones and it worked perfectly fine. then i edited a second song and then went under my ringtones again. when i did this my phone automatically turns off. i have tried it about ten times and everytime i try and go into my ringtones it just shuts off. has anyone experienced this problem and if so how did you resolve this? does anyone know what it could be? thank you in advance.

Hmmm, not sure. That is very odd. Kind of scary too. Hope nothing got messed up on your phone. I have never done clips of songs, I just always do the whole song from the beginning. Maybe that has something to do with it?????? Or could it be that the file you keep trying is corrupted? Since the first one worked fine, maybe it is just that song file.

I edited an mp3 the same way you did, and did not have that problem (thankfully). I just went to my ringtones to see. Have you made any other changes?

i just realized what i did. once i had that mp3 on my ringtones, i then went back to bitpim and renamed it. i would send to phone and click on add instead of replace. once i replaced it i was able to get back into my ringtones without it shutting off. i appreciate the replies and i hope that this thread helps anyone that runs into this same problems.
regards
