Adding New Ringtones .. Can I ??
My apologies if this question has been answered already.
I was thinking about buying the VX8100, (an upgrade from my VX7000) however, one thing has kept me from making the leap.
Ringtones. I make several of my own and was wondering would I loose that ability to add by emailing them from my MyPhoneFiles.com account. Or is there another method involved.
Any help passed on would be appreciated.

You cannot e-mail them, but you can put them on using Bitpim and either a data cable or a Bluetooth USB adapter. It's quite simple.

Yes, you can email the tones so long as you do it as an attachment through the site below: Use the upload media tab and email it to your phone. You must also, format the tone as an AMR file.

So I'm going to have to create the tone ... upload it to MyPhoneFiles then send it to VZWpixs then download it to my phone?

Create the tone, goto VZWPIX upload it, and email it to your phone number EX. [email protected]. When you receive it you then can save it into the my sounds/tones folders.

You can't make ringtones from your My_sounds folder, only from My_ringtones.

So I better just use BitPim.
Any suggestions on the exact name of the USB Cable the 8100 would need?
