I purchased a 1Gb miniSD at Fry's electronics for something like $80. You could easily find a 1Gb miniSD online for about $65. Best Buy has 1Gb miniSD for $105 😢

I have a sandisk, it came with an adapter (to regular SD, saves you about $10) they (sandisk)are a very good brand. i don't have any experience with generic brands so i couldn't tell you. and as far as the dimensions. well, it's "miniSD" and they only come in one size but a multitude of capacities: 64Mb up to 1Gb, and probably 2Gb soon. 😛

I agree that Best Buy is a TOTAL RIPOFF (for most things but most definitely for mini SD cards). I bought the 64 mB to start with for about $11 (shipped) and I got the 1 GB last week for around $75 (shipped).

I bought a 512mb miniSD card from NewEgg.com for $36 including shipping..good deal considering I shopped a few places. I thought the LGVX8100 only accepted a maximum card size of 512mb? If I knew it can take 1ghz cards, I would've shopped around a little bit. Can anyone confirm this?
