I know this is the 8100 forum, but did you see the Samsung SCH-a950 is on Verizon's Website???
I know some people will complain that I'm posting this in the 8100 forum, but since these phones are so similar, thought maybe some of the nice people on here would like to know if they don't already. It's also finally on PhoneScoop!

Yes, I saw the Samsung phone and I'm thinking hmmm... As you know, my volume issue never went away and as for the camera...we all know about the graininess. In fact, thanks for posting this because I had been trying to search for the Samsung and had no luck. I guess I'll take this over to the Samsung forum - let me know when you look at the phone and tell me what you think! Thanks!

Don't know for sure yet when it will be in the store here. I just noticed it on PhoneScoop yesterday after NY8100GUYS posted about it, and just saw it on Verizon's website tonight. I know with the 9800 it was available online first and within about a week, it was in the store. So anyway....I'll let you know after I get a chance to try out a working model.

Thanks a bunch! I may even try to see if one of the stores near me has it in yet. If so, I'll try to check it out sometime tomorrow. If I happen to get to it before you, then I'll post about it as well, on the Samsung forum, of course. I wouldn't want to get shot down on this forum.
To everyone else: For the record, I really like all the features my 8100 has and if it weren't for the incessant problems with the flucuating volume in the eariece that I keep experiencing, then I wouldn't consider switching.

It looks cool..much like the 8100. In fact, I can't find anything in the specs that differentiate this phone from the 8100. Ergo, how do they justify the $200 price difference?
