how do u pair the phone with the pc
i got both bitpim and the bluetooth conector.
everything is installed. i tried to find the phone using bitpim but it didnt find anythig then i tried to pair the phone to the pc and it found the bluetooth device but its asking for an authentication number where do i get that from where can i find it or change it.

Are you using the software that came with your Bluetooth dongle? I'd use that and not try to use the windows stuff. Just follow the instructions that came with the software.

You a have to pair the phone w/ the BT. When I put my BT adapter in, a box comes up giving me the option to add a device, then walks you through the process. At some point in the beginning I had to check a box saying my device was ready to be found. To make your phone "ready to be found", you need to go to settings & tools, PC connection and change that to bluetooth, then go to bluetooth (also under settings& tools right after pc connection, and go to my visibility and choose show to all. Then a little further in the process it will give you a number, the pc will communicate w/ the phone, phone will ask for the password, use the one the pc is showing you and you'll be connected.
