On the VZW site the price of the 8100 has been raised back up to $149.99 after the $50 rebate. Also the rebate has been changed back to the online instant rebate instead of the mail in one.

Yeah, the mail-in rebate was only good on purchases made thru 10/10/05. Now look for specials pushing the 9800

Does the online rebate mean the rebate is only good if you buy the phone online...or does that mean you have to file your rebate online?

Damn, the offer ended on the 10th and I'm eligible for my NE2 on the 12th...

If you're asking about the 8100, what's currently being offered is NOT an online rebate.

Right now Verizon is offering a ONLINE DISCOUNT. Per my experince with Verizon, this is offered online only. But, you might want to call your local store, if that's how you're gonna shop, and see if they have a comparable offer.
